Programs and Conferences

The Summer Programs and Conference Services staff is here to provide quality customer service while helping to plan your summer program or conference housing.  Our staff has years of experience working with athletic camps, academic seminars, and a variety of conferences.  On the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, guests will find spacious residence halls conveniently located within walking distance to a variety of unique meeting spaces.  If your group is interested in visiting Washington University in St. Louis, we are happy to give you a campus tour!

While taking advantage of on-campus housing, guests will have easy access to the MetroLink, an outdoor swimming pool, and workout facilities at a nominal fee.  Free in-room telephone and internet are just a few of the amenities offered to summer visitors.  Our customer service desk is open until midnight every night to meet the needs of all guests.

Washington University in St. Louis is located in the heart of the city between Forest Park, one of the largest urban parks in the country, and the beautiful residential area of Clayton, Missouri.  Delmar Loop is also within minutes of campus.  The Loop, named one of the “10 Great Streets in America” by the American Planning Association, has many entertainment venues, restaurants, and retail stores to visit.

Accommodations
Our top priority is providing comfortable, clean, and secure housing to guests.  Single rooms, double rooms, and apartment style housing are all offered at Washington University in St. Louis.  Fully furnished and equipped with free

Meeting Spaces
A variety of meeting spaces can be reserved for your program or conference.  Reception areas, classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and theatres are available options for meeting spaces on campus.  Most classrooms and conference rooms are equipped with audio visual equipment which makes them perfect for holding seminar sessions or listening to guest speakers.  (read more)

Conference Registration
Program Directors have the option of choosing to utilize our easy and efficient online registration.  The Summer Programs and Conference Services staff will create an online registration which guests may use to reserve housing and, if necessary, pay online with a credit card.  Online registration makes the process of reserving housing simple and fast.  Our staff will ensure the reservation is secure, payment is received, and will handle any adjustments that need to be made.  If participants do not register online, the Program Director must provide an electronic list of registrants to Summer Programs and Conference Services. 

Check-In and Check-Out
Our office will be open until midnight each day to handle check-in and check-out for each visiting program and conference.  Special arrangements can be made for personalized group check-in if needed.  During check-in, necessary information about Washington University in St. Louis will be distributed to each guest.  Our staff will assist with any questions or concerns.  At the end of each program or conference, our staff will manage an efficient and quick check-out to ensure all guests enjoyed their stay.

Customer Service Desk
The Summer Programs and Conference Services office is located on the ground floor of the Umrath residence hall.  Open until midnight each night of the week, our office can handle late check-ins, lockouts, and any other issues that may arise.  Our staff consists of three full-time professionals and several Washington University in St. Louis undergraduate students who are hired as Conference Assistants during the summer.
